i (seb, 25) am
biking against borders.
Amsterdam to Japan. 3+ years. 25.000+km. for a free world.
the old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born. now is the time of monsters.
in the midst of rampant fascism, militarization and ecological annihilation , iβm learning about our broken world and sharing that path with you. will you learn with me?
the world should be free for everyone. letβs fundraise against borders. by crossing borders, we fight for the freedom to move.
um, so.. any serious project starts with a biography, i think? the person in the pictures? thatβs me! iβm an anarchist bus driver in Amsterdam who likes to climb things, cook vegan foods, and read (my ββs: David Graeber & Ursula K. LeGuin),
me (seb).
for many years, the comrades and me in the radical climate movement tried to stop the annihilation of our earth. we had little effect. instead, walls are being built.
thatβs why i stepped on my bike, and started learning about borders. turns out that borders can teach us many things about the way our world works! i started a learning journey that lead me to conquest, imperialism, scientific racism, zionism, academic complicity and more.
after a year alone on the road, my two friends visited in Georgia. hereβs a movie about darkness, hope & community.
freedom to move
freedom to move
(my mom)
during the trip, i'll cross 25 borders. one example: Syria. i can enter Syria and drink tea with one of the endless hospitable Syrian families. but i cannot invite that family to drink tea in my room in Amsterdam. they simply cannot come here in a βlegalβ way.
this is why i am fundraising against borders. to make the world free for everyone. weβre fundraising for 2 organizations that fight borders:
MiGreat is a political and direct aid organisation based in Amsterdam, and No Name Kitchen helps people across Europe during their migration journey.
so, while i bike, we raise money to support them.
check it out and support these 2 organisations?π
socials?
listen.
social media platforms are truly terrible. they ruin our brains, our societies and our earth.
thatβs why i am also on federated and decentralized alternatives like:
